Miami, FL (August 23, 2021) - Mersi Distribution has been awarded the annual contract for nitrile gloves by Omaha Public Schools, the largest school district in the state of Nebraska. Over 80 elementary and secondary schools comprise the district and roughly 52,000 students make up its diverse community.
The nitrile glove contract comprises a major portion of the greater medical supplies contract, the rest of which was awarded to Henry Schein - a $10 billion distributor of healthcare products and services. The contract amount was undisclosed.
"We are incredibly humbled to receive such a prestigious contract and to see our family business mentioned in the same breath as a Fortune 500 company." said Faris Mersi, President.
Otto Wirsen, Vice President, added, "We work 24/7/365 to delight our customers so it is honestly a great source of pride to see our growing reputation as a reliable partner recognized in the form of this award. This validates the long and hard hours each member of our team has worked in order to build our reputation in the market."
